Kay Geist, 57, of Fargo passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND. Kay was born April 1, 1960 to Darrell and Carol (Harrington) Johnson in Albany, Georgia on the Turner Airforce base. Kay achieved her GED and graduated from the Interstate Business College. She married the love of her life Ernest Geist on August 14, 1975 in Durango, Colorado. Kay worked for Greyhound Bus line for over 10 years as a Ticket Agent, and as well was employed at Walmart and Taco Johns. Kay is best known for accessorizing with her fashion and had a beautiful talent for arranging flowers. She enjoyed reading books, arts and crafts, and spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed. Kay is survived by her husband, Ernest Geist of Moorhead; children, Shanna (Troy) Knutson of Moorhead, Ernest Jr. “Boo” (Alana) Geist of West Fargo, Bradley (Susan) Geist of Drake, Adam Geist of Moorhead; Parents, Carol (Roger) Harrington, Darrell (Debbie) Johnson; siblings, Kathy (Gordon) Grant of West Fargo, Kim (Fred) Fuss of West Fargo, Karen (Robert) Schulz of Moorhead, Shari (Don) Davis of Grand Junction, CO, Kurt (Kimberly) Johnson of Horace, Jared Johnson of West Fargo; grandchildren, Mikayla, Gabrielle, Troy Jr., Aspen, Stephonie Ann, Dominic, Shayla, Kylee; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Kay was preceded in death by her grandparents; brother, Luke; and niece, Christie Memorial Services will take place at 3:00 PM Monday, December 18, 2017 at Faith Lutheran Church, 127 2nd Ave E, West Fargo, ND. A visitation will take place 1 hour prior to services.
