Kelly Glen Kolpin, age 53 died February 12, 2010 at his lake home on Blue Water Bay, Lake Cormorant, MN surrounded by loved ones and under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley. Kelly Kolpin was born February 28,1956, the youngest son of Glen and Ramona (Fallen) Kolpin. He was raised in Sutton, ND and graduated from Glenfield-Sutton High School in 1974. He attended the State School of Science at Wahpeton and opened Midwest Collision Center of Fargo in 1981. He later brought in his brother Rick as a partner. In 1999, he and several partners opened Roadhouse Bar and Grill on Lake Cormorant, MN. They sold it in 2004. Kelly enjoyed participating in amateur basketball, softball and golf. He especially enjoyed time at his lake home which was always open to his many friends. He is survived by a daughter, Cassie McLean, Dickinson; one sister, Janna (Ken) Cumber, Jamestown and 2 brothers, Roger Kolpin and Rick Kolpin, both of Fargo; 3 nieces and one nephew, special friend, Mary Morris , uncle Dwight Fallen, Cooperstown, ND and aunt Gloria (Robert) Johnson, Sutton. He is also survived by his best friend, Ernest T., his 3 year old labradoodle.He was preceded in death by his parents and sister in law, Pam Halvorson Kolpin. The memorial service for Kelly will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 19, 2010 at Hope Lutheran Church, North Campus. Arrangements by Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo.
