Kenneth "Ringo" Ringuette
April 24, 1950 ~ August 24, 2018
Kenneth Leo Ringuette, 68, Fargo, ND passed away Friday, August 24 2018 at Sanford Palliative Care Center after complications from Lewy Body Dementia.
Kenny was born to Barbara and Duane Ringuette on April 24, 1950. He graduated from Shanley High School in Fargo. Kenny was a charitable gaming salesman, having worked for Lien Games and recently, NG Gaming, until his retirement in 2017.
Kenny met his Sweetie Pie, Maggie, in 1984. They married in 1986 and spent 30 years together. They both shared a love for music. With Maggie being a Disc Jockey and Kenny’s love of music, it’s not surprising these two got together. Most weekends you could catch them at home listening to concert DVD’s, (really loud). They both have a love for dogs, and together, they enjoyed the companionship of 3 wonderful dogs; Zeus, Gus and Molly. (Ok, Gus was a handful, but they loved him just the same).
Ken was an avid golfer and in 1985 was one of the original lifetime members of Oxbow Country Club remaining a loyal member until 2016. Kenny stayed close with many of his high school buddies and enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing pool and hanging out with them every chance he got. Together Kenny and Maggie hosted most holidays in their home with the Ringuettes. Yes. All of the Ringuettes. They came from far and near. Maggie and Kenny welcomed everyone. With an assortment of parents, aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and friends. It didn’t matter if they were in-laws or out-laws. It was organized chaos, and the memories will last a lifetime.
Kenny was loved by many and will be missed by even more.
Kenny is survived by brothers and sisters, Barbara Miller, Bloomington, Illinois, Gene(Janeen) Ringuette, Maple Grove, MN, Lavetta (Ryle) Syverson, Grand Forks, ND, Dana Ringuette(Renee), Charleston, Illinois, Tom(Deb) Ringuette, Fargo, ND and his beloved Aunt, Sister Paula Ringuette, Fargo, ND.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Leo, Scott and John and sister, Renee.
The Funeral will be Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at 2pm, with visitation at 1pm, at Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo.
In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association of North Dakota/Minnesota.

Hey Buddy; kinda strayed from you for awhile.. Thanks for the get together we had at the house.. and Yes Maggie, he has a great taste for old time rock and roll,.. Got lucky.. I arranged a visit with him about a half year ago.. talk about his hospitality… that has not changed..we had a great time reminiscing.. Kenny loved it.. We were travelling down yester years road.It was Fabulous.. In ways I always thought of Kenny as the Fonz.. He had a little more height and weight on me in those days.. hell everyone in the class did except Bonnie.. I was a tiny critter..But I was lippy.. I started lippin off to some older high school thugs.. and they were gonna put me in my place until Kenny steps in and then I find myself watching a fist fight I started.. Kenny took a couple for me.. I think he got in more licks.. Love you, Tough Guy. Thanks for being there. Thanks for the memories.

The obit was not in today’s Times. I looked up on line were to send flowers but in your write up you said bag the flowers. The obit was perfect. It sounded just like you and I can actually hear you reading it. Love your friend always THE CROW

Tim and I were talking about Kenny (Ringo) the other day. He was such a good guy! Always open for a good laugh! I was looking forward to seeing him at our Shanley class reunion. Tim remembers fondly his days at Oxbow and his golfing buddies. Always a story to share. Kenny, may God hold you tightly in his arms for all eternity. Peace to your family at this difficult time.

I met Kenny through Maggie and agree they were a perfect match. Kenny was one of a kind and will be missed. He put up with the Superstation Sisters many times…sending much love your way, Maggie and Ringuette family.
Ringo and I grew up on opposite sides of the town. In our early teens, fate brought us together at the Gold Crown Billiards, where we began a lifetime friendship. This decades long experience would take a juicy novel to describe but suffice to say, we and many other characters formed incredible bonds and earned PHD.’s in “Street Smarts” there. We’d frequently reminisce about all the crazies we’d met there and where some of those experiences took us, which again, is not rated for this space. Looking back, I don’t think either of us would want to change a single thing.
There’s something precious about lifelong friendships that are formed in our youths . An old mentor of mine once said “That when you come to to the end of your day’s here, if you can look back and count someone as a true friend, you have been blessed with one of life’s greatest gifts”. Sadly, I now understand that.
Maggie, I can’t imagine the many emotions and difficulties you endured during Ken’s cruel illness, but I want you to know that he loved you with every fiber of his being.
We will miss the joy he brought to our life’s.
So many memories of time spent with Ringo. RIP Kenny!!!
Kenny was one of the most polite, kind people I’ve known. His humor totally cracked me up – so dry, with that smirk and nod. Petey and I loved spending “loud music” nights with Ken and Mags. They introduced us to great concerts and he made the best “secret recipe” burgers we’ve ever tasted. Petey remembers how he made ribeye steaks for us, which were delicious. As Petey was cutting away some fat, Kenny said, “Eat that Petey, it’s the best part!” They talked music for hours and Petey always wanted Kenny’s take. Kenny loved Maggie with all his heart and more. We’ll miss him so much, and feel so fortunate to have been part of his life.

I was so sorry to hear about Kenny. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this heartbreaking time.
My deepest condolences to Maggie and family. Kenny was definitly a special character that will be deeply missed. Rest assured Kenny is in our Almighty father, Jehovah’s memory. He promises in Isaiah 33:24 that the day will come when “no one will be sick”. God also promises that you will again get to see, hug and enjoy Kenny’s company once again in the near future (John 5:28&29) I hope these words have been of comfort and you are in my prayers.
