Kenneth Roy Voeller, 65, Fargo, ND, passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Bethany on University in Fargo. Ken was born on November 27, 1952 to Roy and Lena (Volk) Voeller in Minot, ND. Ken grew up in Minot, and graduated from Minot High School. After high school, he moved to Bismarck, ND and worked for Red Owl Bakery as a route salesman, and then for Sweetheart Bakery as a route salesman. Ken transferred to Fargo, ND in 1986, which was a job he really enjoyed. From 1999 to 2018 he worked for Smurfit Stone (Rock Tenn & West Rock), until his retirement in January of 2018 due to health issues. He was a very loyal & hard worker. Ken loved family, & was very proud of his many nieces & nephews. He was a member of Holy Spirit Church in Fargo. Ken was a dear friend & family member to Jodi Christianson & her children Jenna, Andrew, Callie, & Brandon (his Godson), & granddaughters Elisia, Callia, Jodisia, & Jacea, who all loved him dearly. Ken enjoyed the Redhawks & loved his cats. Ken never missed a football game, dance recital, church program, holiday, or activity in general, if he could make it & one of those he loved was participating. Ken was preceded in death by his father, Roy, and brothers, Victor, Frank, and Don. He is survived by his mother, Lena, sister, Carol (Leonard) Volk; sister, Jeanette, (John) Marsland; brother, Randy, (Lisa) Voeller; and many nieces & nephews. And also his Christianson family & his beloved cat, Nola Kitty. Ken will be remembered for his unique sense of humor and work stories. Because of you, we all have learned to smile a little more, laugh a little harder, and love a little deeper. I truly hope & pray you know how much we loved you. There will be a prayer service at Holy Spirit Catholic Church at 7:00 p.m. Monday with visitation from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the church. The funeral mass will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in Holy Spirit Catholic Churchy with visitation one hour before.

  4. My deepest sympathies to all of Kenneth’s family and friends. I met Kenneth as a hospice volunteer companion and he loved talking about his family and work. He was great at off the cuff jokes and had a lovely sense of humor. I’m very grateful for the time I had with him and honored to get to know him as much as I did.
