Kimberly Jones Schaleben, age 54, of Fargo, North Dakota, formerly of Carlyle, passed away at her home surrounded by her family after a yearlong battle with pancreatic cancer. Kim was born July 20, 1965, daughter of Dan Jones and Judy Hays Jones. She married Lee Schaleben of Detroit Lake, MN, in Carlyle, June 11, 1983. Kim and Lee later moved to North Dakota where they, along with their children, own and operate a flooring company. In addition to her husband, Lee, Kim is survived by a son - Alexander and his fiancé, Karianne, daughter - Natalie, all living in Fargo. Mother - Judy Jones, brother - Mark Jones, nephew - Bryce Jones, all of Carlyle, and niece - Megan Jones of Salem, Oregon, Aunt - Ida Gragert of Salem. She was preceded in death by her father, Dan Jones. Kim enjoyed kayaking on the Crow Wing River, where they built their weekend family home. In keeping with her wishes, no service will be held. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Kim are suggested to a local Animal Shelter.

    I so enjoyed being invited to your beautiful home on the Crow Wing this fall. I was blessed that we both couldn’t sleep past 4 am because it was such a pleasure to sit in the porch, drink coffee, converse, and watch the sunrise. May you Rest In Peace Kim.
