Kimberly (Klaudt) Birrenkott

kimberly (klaudt) birrenkott
Kim passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at her home in Horace, surrounded by her loving family, under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley. Kimberly Kay Klaudt was born on August 30, 1979, the daughter of Duane and Sheryl (Scott) Klaudt in Bismarck, ND. She grew up in Bismarck and received her education, graduating from Bismarck High School. She also attended and graduated from North Dakota State University in Fargo, and received her Master’s degree from Columbia University in New York, NY. Kim was united in marriage to Daniel Birrenkott on April 23, 2005 at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Fargo. She worked for Strategic Fund Raising in Fargo, and most recently was employed by Wex Health in West Fargo. Kim was a loving wife and mother who was very involved in the activities of all of her children. Kim was a skilled planner of vacations, several which were centered on her love of baseball. Upon learning that she was suffering from pancreatic cancer, Kim put together an aggressive action plan that included a trip to Universal Studios, a week-long stay in Arizona for Spring Training, planning Brady’s and Monica’s wedding, and a trip to the East Coast centered around a visit to 2 major league baseball parks. She accomplished all of these goals while receiving treatments at both the Sanford Roger Maris Cancer Center in Fargo and at the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at John Hopkins Medicine in Baltimore. Kim defined her fight with cancer not so much on the battle to survive, but on her ability to enjoy life with her children and other loved ones with grace and joy despite the pain and fear caused by her disease. Kim is survived by her husband, Daniel Birrenkott of Horace, ND; her children – Brady (Monica) Birrenkott of Minneapolis, MN; Katie Birrenkott of Fargo, ND; Aaron and Caleb Birrenkott of Horace, ND; her mother, Sheryl Klaudt of Fargo, ND; and her brother, Kenny (Wendy) Klaudt of Minot, ND. Also surviving are her in-laws, John and Sylvia Birrenkott; and brothers and sisters-in-law – Jeff and Susan Birrenkott, Tom and Cathy Birrenkott, Dave and Staci Birrenkott, Mike and Stacey Birrenkott, and Tacinca Laducer, all of West Fargo, ND; three nieces and ten nephews; her uncle and aunt Terry and Pam Thorpe, Minot, ND and her cousin, Troy Lundeen, Beaver Creek, OH. Kim was preceded in death by her father, Duane Klaudt; her aunt Dianna Smith and her grandparents – Allen and Ruth Klaudt, and Sheldon and Mildred Scott. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Brad Salquist Memorial Fund at Western State Bank in West Fargo.   14. To Kimberly’s family;
    I’m so sorry to read of Kim’s death. Even though I didn’t know her personally, I do know the pain of losing a love one in death. Being a bible student, two promises of our Creator come to mind. One is Isaiah chap 25 verse 8. There he promises to, “Swallow up death forever. And remove the tears from all faces.” Another is Isaiah chap 33 verse 24, where he says the time will come when “no one will be sick.” These wonderful promises and many more will become a reality when Gods Kingdom rules this earth as it does heaven. So as you reflect on your memories of Kim, remember the promises of the God who as Hebrews chap 6 verse 18 says “can’t lie.” I’ll pray for your family..

  15. I am so sorry to hear of Kim’s passing, my prayers are with all of you. Hopefully some day we can see you, has been along time since our Dayton days and know what a wonderful daughter she was because of our visits while working. God Loves u and will take good care of Kim for u.

  19. To the entire Klaudt & Birrenkott families-
    I am so sorry for your loss & know there are no words I can say to express my sincere sadness at this very difficult time. I have many great memories of Kimmy during our childhood family get togethers & will cherish these always. I will continue to pray that God can bring you all comfort & strength & hope you are able to feel some peace in knowing Kimmy is finally home in His loving arms.

  20. After I read about Kim’s recent death after just 38 way too short years of precious life, I wanted to express my feelings of sympathy for the Birrenkott, Klaudt family and friends. I know Kim has left you with many precious memories and will be greatly missed. When our loved ones fall asleep in death, the pain and grief seems unbearable. Our loving God, Jehovah (Psalm 83:18), understands how we feel and he comforts us by means of his word the Bible. Psalm 34: 18 tells us: “Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Jehovah invites you to throw all your burdens on him and he will sustain you in your time of grief. Most of us have seen this enemy death claim the lives of people dear to us. But Jehovah God promises to destroy this enemy, death, once and for all. Rev. 21: 4; tells us: “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.” (Isaiah 25: 8, 1 Corinthians 15: 26) God’s kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for at Matt. 6: 9, 10 will bring about these wonderful promises including the resurrection. None of us are guaranteed tomorrow, but we are all guaranteed a resurrection (John 5: 28, John 6: 40, John 11:23-25, Acts 24:15) I offer my sincere condolences to the family.
