Kimberly Young

"Kimmy Kay" was born on July 4th, 1959 in Devils Lake, ND to Robert E. Young, and Sharalyn (Krick) Young. She went home to be with the Lord January 22, 2009 after a short illness. She passed away at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo surrounded by her loving family. At the age of seven years, she made her home in Grafton, ND until moving with her sister, Stephanie, to Fargo in 1984. They moved into their own apartment in February, 2004. Kim was a very busy woman, working two jobs, and going with friends to many activities. She loved spending time with her loving family, sharing many holidays and family occasions. There were many trips for ice cream and pop, and vacations at the lakes. She recently joined her church in West Fargo, which was very special to her. Kim had a great sense of humor. She was always teasing, and loved it when others laughed with her. Kimberly is survived by her mother, Sharalyn Flem, Fargo; her brother, Rick (Kim)Young, Glyndon, MN; her sisters, Jackie(Luke)Sherbrooke, Barnesville, MN and Kristi (Steve) John, Baker, MN; a half sister and three half-brothers; several nieces and nephews; and the entire staff of Friendship, Inc. who cared for and loved her for over twenty-five years, also many friends. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert E. Young; her sister, Stephanie; and her maternal and paternal grandparents. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Hospice of the Red River Valley and Friendship,Inc. The funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 in Boulger Funeral Home in Fargo, ND with Visitation one hour before the service. Interment will be at a later date.
