In August 26, 1977 Laurie and her loving husband Gene L. Larson were married at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Fargo.  They made their home in north Fargo and moved into Laurie’s childhood home in 1997.  Laurie had a strong faith and great love for her family, beautiful things and small dogs.  She was devoted to Gene, who played the central role in Laurie’s complicated health care over many years.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two brothers, Paul Anderson (Linda), Rockford, MN, and Daniel Anderson (Janna), Elon, NC; one sister, Mary Joan Synstelien (Larry), Chanhassen, MN; five nephews, Tyler Anderson and Alec, Justin, Brady and Garrett Synstelien; and one niece, Kacie Anderson.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest G. and Catherine M. Anderson, who she loved dearly.

Laurie’s family wishes to express their deep thanks to all those who have shown her kindness and assisted in her care, especially the many healthcare professionals who came to know her, made her comfortable, and helped her deal with her medical challenges.
