LaVonne Grant

LaVonne Grant, 1813 Broadway, Fargo, passed away Thursday, May 6, 2004 at Eventide Nursing Home, Moorhead, Minnesota. LaVonne McGuire was born May 13, 1923, in Breckenridge, Minnesota. She grew up and attended school there, graduating from Breckenridge High School. She continued to live in Breckenridge until the time of her marriage to Ben Holtgrewe. She married Harry N. Grant in 1962. He preceded her in death in 1999. LaVonne worked at Moorhead State University. She lived in the Fargo-Moorhead area most of her adult life. LaVonne was very active as a volunteer at the V.A. Hospital and Children?s Village. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Fargo and the Elkettes. Memorials preferred to the Alzheimer?s Association. She is survived by her children, Sharon (DuWayne) Price, Lincoln, Montana, and Tom (Jayne) Holtgrewe, Moorhead, Minnesota; stepdaughter, Kathy Grandlund, Fargo; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Gerald (Mickey) McGuire. Visitation: Saturday from 10-11 a.m. in Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo.
