Lawrence G. Dorval, 86, died Wednesday, November 2, 2005 in Rosewood on Broadway, Fargo, ND. Lawrence was born September 19, 1919 in Hickson, ND, the youngest of 11 children born to Pierre and Louise (Tessier) Dorval. He served 4 years overseas during World War II in an engineering company. Upon returning from the Army, Lawrence married Pauline Moos. Together they farmed near Glyndon, MN and later faramed at Oakes, ND. In 1962 they moved to Fargo where Lawrence worked for Jardine Bridge, Fargo Laundry, and St. Luke?s Hospital. In 1981 he retired from Holland Cleaners in Moorhead, but continued to play in the country western band that he formed called ?Larry and the Country Drifters?. He is survived by his wife Pauline; a son, Gary (Chari Honrud) of West Fargo, ND; and two daughters, Darlene (Ervin) Schmidt of West Fargo, ND and Shirley Thiel of Detroit Lakes, MN; six grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Lawrence was preceded in death by his 10 brothers and sisters; one granddaughter; and one great grandson. Visitation: 5:00 - 7:30 p.m - Sunday, November 6, 2005 ?
