LeAnn Gae (Berg) Lee passed away on December 11, 2018 at her home in Dent, Minnesota. LeAnn was born May 31, 1943 to Theodore and Myrtle (Shjegstad) Berg in Dell Rapids, SD. She was baptized and confirmed at West Nidaros Lutheran Church, Crooks, SD. After graduating from Baltic High School she attended Augustana University in Sioux Falls, SD, graduating in 1965. She taught art in Caledonia, MN and in Sauk Rapids, MN. LeAnn married Tom Lee on June 17, 1972 and they made their home in Fargo, ND, where she worked at deLendrecies. They also enjoyed their cabin on West McDonald Lake and later built their home on Big McDonald Lake near Dent, MN. LeAnn cherished the time spent with her and Tom’s families and their many friends. They also enjoyed wintering at their condo in Fountain Hills, AZ. Having no children of her own, her nieces and nephews were of importance to her. She made an effort to attend nearly all special events in their lives, traveling long distances to baptisms, graduations, weddings, etc. LeAnn made a special point to invite them to their lake home and loved their many visits. LeAnn had an exceptional talent in the creative arts, using all mediums. Her Christmas cards were created with her colored pencil drawings. She was a sports enthusiast, following the Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota Twins. LeAnn is survived by her husband Tom, sisters Janice (Dean) Plantz of Sun Lakes, AZ, Charlene Fersdahl of Renner, SD, Margaret (James) Swanson of Gaylord, MN, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Louise Berg and Beverly Christopherson, and a brother Charles Berg. Prayer Service and Sharing of Memories will take place at 7:00 P.M. Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Boulger Funeral Home & Celebration of Life Center, Fargo with visitation starting at 6:00 P.M. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, December 17, 2018 at Hope Lutheran Church South Campus in Fargo, ND, 3636 25th St. S., Fargo ND 58104. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association or the West Nidaros Lutheran Church Endowment Fund. They can bet sent to Boulger Funeral Home's address at 123 10th St. S., Fargo ND 58103 in care of your chosen organization.

  1. We send our sympathy to Tom and all of the Lee and Berg Families. Everyone on Engstrom Beach road will miss LeAnn Lee so much. She always had a sweet smile for everyone and would always take time for a chat. What a fun person LeAnn was. Gone too soon. Our last memory of her was Tuesday morning as we drove down the road to Fargo – Her famous smile and big wave. We will certainly think of her at Christmas and miss her beautiful hand painted cards. We have kept everyone and they are certainly frameable. God speed LeAnn.

  8. Dear Tom and LeAnn’s family. We were shocked to hear of the passing of this wonderful woman, LeAnn. She worked with us at deLendrecie’s and was a wonderful coworker and friend. She always had a smile on her face and was so fun to be around. We will miss her. Tom and family, our prayers are with all of you. Rest in Peace dear LeAnn.

  10. LeAnn had a beautiful attitude and will be missed at the lakes, especially at the Christmas caroling events. Last year we shared a singing book and both tried to carry a tune! She’s singing with the angel now.
