Leland Hans

Leland Hans 84, passed away January 28, 2019 in his home. Leland was born in Fargo on March 17, 1934 to Milton and Edna (Piper) Hans. He was raised and confirmed in the Canaan Moravian Church in Davenport, ND. He graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1952. Leland served in the U.S. Army. He farmed with his father until his father retired, at which time Leland took over the operation of the farm in Davenport, ND. Leland married Florence Alderman on February 3, 1967 in the Peace Lutheran Church of Fargo, ND. Leland retired from farming in 1991, giving him and Florence the opportunity to travel extensively to several countries. Leland is survived by his wife Florence, a brother-in-law, Ralph (Bea) Alderman and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Phyllis Cossette. The family would like to thank the wonderful people of Hospice of the Red River Valley for their loving care and support. A special thank you to Leland’s nieces, Jill and McKenzie for their daily help to care for Leland. At Leland’s request, there will be no services. Burial will be at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery in Mandan, ND.
