  4. We grieve with the family at the loss of Leo. He was a colleague and a friend. Our sincere sympathy at your loss.

  5. I met Leo in August 1981 as we trial judged figure skating tests together in Sun Valley, ID, and three summers that followed. I recall meeting at least one if not both sons as his driving companions for the drive between Fargo and Sun Valley. What followed was 30-years plus of rapid correspondence on many subjects but mainly figure skating and a solid staunch friendship. We shared frustration and joy over each appointment rejection or promotion. I would see Leo and Joan at various World and US National competitions over the years, including Spokane, WA 2007 shortly before Joan’s passing. I enjoyed attending 2009 LA Worlds and 2012 San Jose Nationals as Leo’s skating fan roommate. A crowning occasion of sorts was a test session in Bismarck, ND in April 2012 where Leo and I judged what would be our last session together. A wonderful friend. Blessings, Leo.

  6. Leo was a nice person, and an excellent scientist who made many significant
contributions to the ARS. His family every reason to be proud of his
    memory.

  7. I’m sorry to hear of Leo’s passing. My deepest condolences to the friends and family of Leo’s. I’ll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Take care and God Bless.

  8. We are so sorry for your loss. We have memories of your family as neighbors in two neighborhoods! What a wonderful man. With love and prayers from Leonabelle (Sunny) Mathison and family
