Leo Emerson

Leo Emerson, age 68, Fargo, ND, died Monday, June 14, 2004 at Bethany Homes, Fargo. Leo Marvin Emerson was born May 8, 1936 in Fargo, ND where he grew up. He attended Woodrow Wilson Grade School and Roosevelt Junior High School. In 1984 received his GED. He joined the Navy and served for 12 years. Prior to joining the Navy he married Carol Jean Hendrickson. She preceded him in death. After his discharge from the Navy, he returned to Fargo to raise his two daughters. While in Fargo he worked for Fargo Tank Company and Sexauer Company from which he retired in 1990. He married Cecilia Olson in 1996 in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. They lived in rural Hawley, MN until 2000 when they moved to Fargo. He is survived by his wife, Cecilia; two daughters, Cheryl Radke and Michele Hill, both Moorhead, MN; a son, Leo ?Butchie? Jr., Fargo; four stepchildren: Karen (Monroe), Carol (Jim), Larry, Tony (Roxy); 6 grandchildren; 14 step grandchildren; 23 step great grandchildren; four sisters: Jackie (Roland) Lampton, Lake Park, MN, Colleen (Bill) Leahy, Lake Park, MN, Helen Stokes, Richfield, WA, Margie Inks, Minneapolis, MN. He was preceded in death by a son, Kevin; and three brothers, Gary, Gene, and Bart. Memorial Service: 3 p.m. - Wednesday, June 16, 2004, Mavis Whiting Chapel, Bethany Homes, Fargo Boulger Funeral Home
