Leonard J. Stoutland, 84 of Fargo, died Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at Eventide Living Center, Moorhead.
Leonard was born on September 29, 1923 in Minneapolis, MN to Oliver and Violet (Erickson) Stoutland. The family lived in Minneapolis until 1926 and then lived in Fargo from 1926 to 1933. They moved back to Minneapolis where Leonard graduated from Henry High School in 1942. He served in the US Army with the 252nd Combat Engineers in the European Theatre. He married Rozella Marie Grant on May 8, 1948 in Fargo. He started Stoutland Construction in 1950.
Leonard was a member of El Zagal Shrine, Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, American Legion, VFW, Elks and Eagles. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time at Lake Lizzie and also winters in Mesa, Arizona.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rozella; parents, Oliver and Violet; brother, Oliver, Jr. and sister, Joyce Wincek.
Leonard is survived by his children, Linda (Rod) Burgad of Wishek, ND, Pam (Don) Kirby of Fargo, Jim (Jane) Stoutland of Fargo; grandchildren, Meagan (Jason Gerber) Burgad, Michael Burgad, Kristen Burgad, David Uhlir, Jimmy Uhlir, Katherine Uhlir, Tommy Uhlir, Noah Stoutland, Lauren Stoutland, Lizzy Stoutland; sister, LuVerne (Gary) Underhill of Scottsdale, AZ.

Visitation: Thursday, March 20 from 5-7 pm at Boulger Funeral Home,
Fargo and one hour prior to the service in the church on Friday.
Funeral Service: Friday, March 21 at 2:30 pm at St. Mark?s Lutheran Church,
Interment: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo.
