Leroy Vincent Frost Senior passed away peacefully on December 6 2011 at his son's home on Lake Melisa in Detroit Lakes Minnesota. His family by his side.

Leroy was born to Bernard and Elizabeth (Bahl) Frost on February 23rd 1924 in Page, ND.

He was raised on the family farm along with his 8 brothers and one sister.

Lee's passion for baseball was equal to his talent.

At 17 he was drafted onto the New York Yankees farm team where he pitched until he was drafted into the U.S. Marine Corp. Stationed at San Diego. He was honorably discharged at the end of WW2.

On January 22nd 1941 he married his lifetime love Geraldine Kaye (Tiny) Rutherford, and together they had four children.

Lee worked as a truck driver and a member of the teamster union.

He later owned and operated the Piney Way Resort and a Mobil Service station and Airport at Breezy Point, Minnesota.

After Retirement Lee and Tiny spent many years in Las Vegas Nevada.

In 2006 Lee was inducted into the American Legion baseball Hall of Fame and shortly thereafter he was honored again by being invited to throw out the first pitch at the Minnesota Twin's game. All his family proudly attended.

Lee most recently lived in Fargo North Dakota until his wife passed on October 3rd 2011, then he moved to Detroit Lakes to live with his son Vince.

Lee is survived by his sons: Leroy Frost Jr. (Nancy) Lake Melisa; Dominic Lynn Frost Carson City, Nevada; Brothers Robert (Esther) Frost, Ray (Lois) Frost, John (Joanne) Frost; sister, Jackie Punton; grandchildren, Donald (Yasmeen) Frost, Robin Frost, Vince (Colleen) Frost, Brenda Larson, Holly (Jay) Johnson, Anne (David) Kellerhuis, Heidi Lesson, Penny Yunker, Jennie Frost, Billy Frost, Ryan Frost, 19 great- grandchildren and many treasured nieces and nephews.

Lee preceded in death by his wife Tiny, daughter Penny Lee Marie Frost, his son Wilford Rutherford Frost, a very special son in law Gregory Gail Larson (Brenda), there very beautiful great granddaughter Ashlee Marie Theriault, brothers Laverne (Kathryn) Frost, Marvin (Patricia) Frost, Bernard (Patricia) Frost, Kenneth (Kathryn) Frost, William (Dorothy) Frost.

    Uncle Leroy and Tiny were my godparents and in fact, Leroy drove my Mom to the hospital in a blizzard in Fargo when I was born. You will be missed, Uncle Leroy.You and Dad can play some baseball in heaven now.
