Lillian Greywind

Lily Rose (Rosie) Greywind, age 64, died on Sunday, April 18, 2004 in Fargo. Rosie was born on January 27, 1940 in Fort Totten, ND to John and Elsie Greywind. She attended school in Fort Totten and St. Michael, ND, and her junior high years were spent in Grand Forks, ND. After school she worked as a waitress and production worker. She later moved back to Devils Lake to raise her children and then later moved to Fargo, ND. She loved children and animals, balloons, stuffed animals, and the county fair. She enjoyed watching movies (especially wrestling), playing cards and visiting with friends. With her warm smile and easy laugh, she was the beloved Grandma Rosie to all who crossed her path. She will be missed by many and loved by all. Her loss is most acutely felt by her very special friend, Forrest Peterson; her children, Cecelia McKay Greywind, Fargo,ND, Ron Greywind, Fargo, ND, Donald Alveshere, Denver, CO, Laurie Alveshere, Denver, CO, Christie Alveshere, Britton, SD, as well as her many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Elsie Greywind, her son, Russell Greywind, her brothers, Tim Greywind and Charlie Greywind, her sisters, Mary Esther Greywind Landers, Jeanette Greywind Meade and Cecelia Greywind, her aunts, Rosemary Greywind McKay and Frances Brown Greywind. There will be an all night wake service beginning at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, April 26, 2004 at Unitarian Universalist Church, Fargo. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, April 27, 2004 in the church. Burial will be in Springvale Cemetery, Fargo.
