Lois A. Gullickson, 91, Fargo, ND passed away early Sunday morning, July 21, 2019 at Elim Rehab and Care Center, Fargo. Lois A. Hunt was born February 25, 1928 to Lois and William Hunt at Red Lake Falls, MN where she grew up and graduated from high school in 1946. Lois married Donald Gullickson on August 21, 1948 in Red Lake Falls. They lived in Red Lake Falls until January 1960, when they moved to Alexandria, MN and in 1964 moved to Moorhead, MN. During this time, Lois and Donald raised their children, Craig, Cyd, and Gail in a loving home. Lois then attended Moorhead State College from 1970-73, graduating with a BS Degree in Education. She was able to combine her passion towards reading with her love of kids by teaching at Nativity Elementary. Lois taught there from 1973 until she retired in 1988. After retiring, Lois became an active member in the First United Church of Christ in Fargo, ND. She loved to read in her spare time, make the occasional casino trip, and spend time with her family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Cyd Gullickson; daughter-in-law, Kathy Gullickson; grandchildren, James Plummer, Michel (Hope) Tietz, Luke Gullickson, Lee Gullickson, Mary (Robert) Burns; great-grandchildren, Andre and Ethan Burns; nieces, Linda Galbraith, and Susan and Cheri Lagerquist. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Gail Gullickson; son, Craig Gullickson; and brother, Bill Hunt. The memorial service will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at First Congregational United Church of Christ, Fargo with a visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to First United Church of Christ or Elim Nursing Home.
