Lois Mary was born on a farm near Loma, ND to William and Grace Cremer on August 13, 1928. She graduated from St. Alphonsus and attended Valley City State for two summer sessions. Lois taught at a rural school in Easby #2 for over two years. On June 21, 1950 she married Vernon F. Lois was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church where she sang in the funeral choir and taught CCD classes. She also served on the parish council and was a member of the Sleeping Bag Girls. 1. Our deepest sympathy goes out to our cousins on the passing of Aunt Lois. When I think of Aunt Lois, I always think of Uncle Hutch. I think of great meals in a crowded Fargo home by the river. I think of parking on the grass above the cabin and walking down the long cement steps to the cabin with your family coming out to greet us for our annual summer trip to the lake. As I grew up and went to college I always could show up at their home and be welcomed when I was home sick and hungry for a home cooked meal. As I became an adult and father I remember stopping with my family when we passed through Fargo or stopping when on business trips in Fargo to visit Aunt Lois. All were special times and will be forever cherished.

  2. Just thinking about your mom yesterday. She was a mom to all of us kids on 8th Avenue. Whenever I returned to Fargo to visit, she would welcome me with open arms, always eager to hear about my life. I even have a blue dish she gifted me with. Years ago Lois started giving her girls her collectibles. I thought it was odd as she was so young and vibrant but now that I’m a mom and grandma, I totally get it and her blue dish us cherished.

I’ll always remember her lead sinkers, yummm, such a special treat, Chelly being the Big sis and guiding us girls, Franny sabotaging her cigarettes to get her to quit smoking, Vickie keeping up with the big girls, Kathy, the fun loving light hearted child and the blessing Jill brought to the entire family. Lois is cherished and has a piece of our hearts. “Shoddy Graw”

May your Mom have eternal peace and joy with our loving God and her legacy of faith and love continue to live on in you and all your family. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Fr. Tim Bushy

  5. Our sympathy to your family. Your Mom was such a gracious hostess when I was at your house hanging out with Fran.
Phyllis treasured her friendship with Lois and the time they spent together at the lake.
    Our prayers are with you💕

  6. My condolences and deepest sympathy to you, Fran, and your family in the passing of your beautiful mother. I hope you will find “comfort and peace” knowing just how much your mother loved you and in the happy memories the two of you shared together… Forever and Always. 💝 Love Janet

  7. To you Chelly,Randy n all of Lois’ Family. We are so sorry for the loss you feel. Lois was so-o inviting to us whenever we saw her at Special occasions with Brady n Katie’s Family. She had a warm smile n warming way to make one feel Special. Her Faith was very strong, we shared the Bible verse in Psalm 27:1, during her Breast cancer treatment. Last Summer, she called us special to invite us to her 90th Birthday party. She was genuinely sorry when I told her we’d be out of town❣️She will be missed. You are all in our Prayers❣️ We are visiting our daughter n Family in VA for a few weeks, so will miss her Celebration of Life service, but know you are all in our hearts n Prayers❣️ Love Wanda n Jerry Hasbargen

  8. I only knew Lois for a short time. What a pleasure and honor it was to know and care for her. She made me smile and laugh with her bright sense of humor. Rest in peace friend. My deepest sympathies.

  9. Lois and Hutch were just like second parents when I was growing up. Dorothy and Bill were such good friends with Hutch and Lois it just seemed like every event involved each other. The pre-cooking for hunting trips will always be legendary. Lois was always so wonderful, and her voice I will always hear in my heart. She definitely lived a blessed life with all of the love and faith she gave and got in return. What a treasure! My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

  10. My heartfelt sympathies go out to your whole family. Your Mom, Lois, was a special person. Lois’s love for her family was unmatched and visable and mirrored in each one of her daughters. Two words describe my memories. Graciousness is the first. Your mom welcomed all into her home and family. She invited me to celebrate holidays when I was not able to go home to my family. She always made me feel that I was part of the family celebration. The second word is strength. Your Mom reminded me of a “pioneer” woman who when faced with a difficult situation, would “pull up her bootstraps and survive and thrive”. She was encouraging and helped put things into perspective for others. Her strength in the Lord was evident in her family and her daily living. I am sure her memories and love will contiinue to provide strength and hope in the days to come. May God continue to bless your family. A special thanks to Fran for introducing me to your mother.

  11. Lois was such a nice person. I first met Lois when I to was a member of St. Anthony’s Church, she was so sweet and willing to help out with projects at church. We were also members of Brownson Study Club together.
