Lois Stensgard

Lois Stensgard, age 67, of Fargo, passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Elim Care Center in Fargo. Lois Bertina Mangelsen was born on November 4, 1949 in Grantsburg, WI. She married the love of her life Leonard Stensgard on July 3, 1968. Lois loved playing cards, bingo, watching scary movies and spending time with her daughter, Tanya and 4 granddaughters. Leonard passed away on July 25, 1995. Lois worked as a CNA for most of her life. Her last job was at Savers sorting clothes until she was unable to work due to health issues. Lois entered Elim Nursing Home in January of 2010. She was well taken care of by all the staff there. She loved them like family. She is survived by her daughter, Tanya (Kris Burke) Steidl; her granddaughters - Alyssa Steidl, Brandi Peterson, Brooke Peterson, Bella Steidl; her grandson, Ashton Burke; and her four sisters - Margie, Louise, Lucille and Lorna. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leonard; her two sisters and one brother; and her best friend, Barbara Buckley. MEMORIAL SERVICE: 10 AM Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Boulger Funeral Home and Celebration of Life Center in Fargo VISITATION: one hour prior to the service in the funeral home on Saturday BURIAL: will take place at a later date at Memory Gardens near Valley City, ND. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Boulger Funeral Home and Celebration of Life Center in Fargo.
