Louie, you save the day for me last year when I was being audited. You brought cousin Michael to help me get through the audit. I saw you save the day for others throughout my life. Your physical presence will be missed but I know you will continue to be an advocate for all of us in Heaven! My love and sympathy for those who called you husband, father, Grandfather, brother, friend and cousin.

My condolences to the family-I have nice memories of Louie when we drove around in his grandmother’s green Cadillac. That car was so cool and might have been the impetus that moved me to be a “classic car” guy. RIP

I have several fond memories of Louis . He definitely could make anyone smile. My fondest memory of him was when he came to our garage sale and purchased a birdhouse for his granddaughter. Marlene and girls,
I worked with Louey when he was a Holy Family, and I was at St. Michaels. He was always so smiley and happy even when the strains of administration were part of his day. He was a good friend and we visited whenever I ran into him while he was still in Grand Forks. I considered him a friend and have many happy and fun memories of our work together. I know you will miss him greatly but God blessed you with his life and now the memories of those days will help you move forward without him. My prayers are with you all at this difficult time..

  17. Sarine Weingarten Garcia says:

Marlene, Mara, Marlo, Brideen,…I’m still in shock and so sad for you and the grandkids. There are so many fun memories growing up with you guys in Grand Forks…Summer Thing Mashed Potato lip sync song…garage sales…birthday parties…weddings…we would call him “Cousin/Uncle Louis from Chicago” when we were little. Always lots of laughs and smiles. Since we moved to Fargo, we really got to know him again. Louis would stop over and bring gifts for the kids. Always so thoughtful. The best was when you all came over on Thanksgiving. Louie was never in a rush… always ready to talk and joke and laugh. It’s the old school you rarely see anymore where time spent with people matters…We love you Louie and miss you. So sorry for your loss. Our loss. Everyone’s loss. Love, Sarine and Leovy Garcia — Charlice, Leo and Sarah
