Lucille Delmore

Lucille A. Delmore, age 97 of 1239 7th St. N., Fargo, died Thursday, July 8, 2004 at Meritcare Palliative Care in Fargo. Lucille Donovan was born January 29, 1907 in Leeds, ND to James C. and Ella (Erickson) Donovan. She attended Interstate Business College and Valley City State. After graduating she taught school at Lake Ibsen Township. She married George Delmore in 1937 and lived in Esmond, Jamestown and Fargo. Lu loved school, good students like Bill Harney and classmates and music. She enjoyed train rides, drives in the country and chocolate. Her favorite place was Leeds, where she had family, good friends and a very special family friend, Bud Larson. She was blessed with wonderful, caring people like Nancy Jones, Adele Brennan and MaryAnn Vogel and others who lovingly looked after her in her illness. Friends and neighbors and dedicated people at Villa Maria Adult Day Care and Homewatch gave her much support and joy. Now, may God bless you and take care of you Lucille, our dear loved one. Fortified by the Church?s blessings and the prayers of many who loved her, may you rest with God forever. She was preceded in death by her husband, George in 1964; brother, James Vernon and her sister, Laura Moher Welu. She is survived by her son, Patrick and 25 nieces and nephews. Funeral: Monday at 2:00 pm at Church of the Holy Spirit, Fargo. Visitaion: One hour prior to the service at the church and also Sunday from 5-7 pm at Boulger Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:00 pm. Burial: Holy Cross Cemetery, Fargo.
