Luella Mae Herman, age 73, died August 9, 2003 in her home, Fargo, ND.
Luella Mae Anderson was born May 22, 1930 in Mankato, MN. She grew up on a farm near Hoffman, MN. She moved to Cloquet, MN where she worked in the bakery and as a switchboard operator. She married James Arntson in 1955 in Cloquet where the couple lived. They divorced in 1961.
Luella and Joseph G. Herman were married in 1965 in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Joseph was in the Air Force and the couple lived in various cities. Joseph retired in 1979, and in 1980 they moved to Rising Sun, Maryland where Luella worked as a secretary for the VA Hospital. Joseph died in January 1981. Luella moved to Moorhead in 1991 and in 1996 moved to Fargo.
She is survived by 4 sons: Michael Arntson, Grand Lake, CO, Todd Arntson, Cormorant, MN, Ross (Sherry) Arntson, Kent, WA, Gerald Herman, Honolulu, HI; a daughter, Laura Lu Herman, Abingdon, MD; her brother, Robert ( Bernice) Anderson, Brainerd, MN; her sisters, Florence Peterson, Brainerd, MN and Verniel, Mankato, MN; 10 grandchildren.
There will be a memorial service Thursday, August 14, 2003 at 2 p.m. in Cormorant Lutheran Church, Cormorant, MN.
