Lynn Marvin Derdoski, 68, Kent, MN died July 22, 2019, surrounded by family, at Bethany on University under the care of Red River Valley Hospice. Lynn was born on August 26, 1950, the third of four boys to Ethel (nee Diamond) and Marvin Derdoski. He grew up in St. Paul, MN and graduated from St. Paul Central. He married Janice Awe and together they had three children, Samantha Dawn, Michael and Bob. In April of 1969, Lynn enlisted in the Army and served in Vietnam from September of 1969 to October 1970. After Vietnam, Lynn worked at Toro. He graduated from Augsburg University with a degree in accounting. Lynn re-enlisted in the Army and served until 1990. In 1992, Lynn married Julie Voigt and they had two sons, William and Patrick. Lynn worked at Econo Foods, Wahpeton, doing floor maintenance until he retired in 2012. Lynn is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Ethel, his brother Warren and multiple aunts and uncles. He is survived by his wife, Julie Voigt; daughter Samantha Dawn (Donnie) Stinnett, Coon Rapids, MN; sons, Michael, Horace, ND; Bob (Angie), Brooklyn Center, MN; William, Hoffman, MN; and Patrick, Fargo, ND. Seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren and another on the way. Per Lynn’s wishes, he will be directly cremated with no funeral. There will be a Celebration of Life gathering at the Kent Hall on Saturday, July 27, 2019 from 5PM – 8PM. Lynn's cremains will be interred at Fort Snelling National Cemetery on August 8, 2019 at 10:00 AM.
