Lynn Goldal

lynn goldal
Lynn Goldal, 49, of West Fargo, North Dakota, passed away in his home on October 19, 2016 in West Fargo. Lynn was born October 25th, 1966 in Fargo, ND, the son of Paul and Verna Mae (Murray) Goldal.  Lynn was baptized as an infant and later confirmed at Mayville Lutheran Church, Mayville, ND. Lynn went to school at Mayville-Portland High School, where he graduated in 1985. He attended Mayville State and NDSU where he was pursuing a computer science degree. In high school, he was involved in FBLA, where he received several awards at state. He was also involved in track, but was most proud about being a part of the football team, which won the 1984 North Dakota State Championship his senior year. Lynn was the most, kind hearted, gentle and caring man, especially when it came to his nieces and nephews. He always wanted to be part of the group no matter what we were doing, from watching football and basketball, or going to the lake. Lynn was remarkably intelligent and we all learned new facts from him daily. He was an avid reader of all things science, math or history related, and his Kindle went with him everywhere. He also found humor in almost any situation, and would let everyone know with his exuberantly, boisterous laugh that would end in a giggle. No one who had ever met him will ever forget it. Lynn is survived by his mother, Verna Mae Goldal of Fargo, formerly of Mayville, ND, brother, Ray (Melissa) Goldal of Elkhorn, NE, sister, Angela (Steve) Bagan of West Fargo, cherished nieces, Alyssa Thorson, Cassidy Thorson and Livia Bagan, cherished nephews, Brady (Carly) Thorson, Hudson Goldal, Gavin Goldal, and Garhett Goldal. He was preceded in death by his father Paul Goldal, formerly of Mayville, ND   Visitation will be 2-4 PM Sunday October 23, 2016 with a Celebration of Life at 4:00 PM at Boulger Funeral Home and Celebration of Life Center in Fargo. Internment service will be held at 10:30 A.M. Monday October 24th at the Mayville North Dakota Cemetery.
