Mailinda Sue Duenas, 55, of Mayville, ND passed away Thursday, September 13 at Sanford Hosptial, Mayville.
Malinda was born on August 11, 1957 in Oakland, California. She grew up in Lincoln, California and was the oldest sibling to two brothers and one sister. She gave birth to two sons in Placerville, CA. Joshua Paul Rodney was born on April 3, 1977. A little over a year later, her youngest son, Jacob Adam Rodney arrived on August 24, 1978. Malinda was always a light-hearted person. She enjoyed putting a smile on people’s faces and making everyone laugh.
She is survived by two sons: Joshua Rodney of California, and Jacob (Emilee) Rodney of California; one sister, Elena (Thomas) McNamee of Hillsboro, ND; 6 grandchildren: Cera, Hayden, Hughston, Isaiah, Dorian, and Joey; one niece, 6 nephews, and one-great niece.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Lois June Jewitt, father, Joel Midstokke, and two brothers, Larry Woolery and Joel Midstokke Jr.
