Marella Haugen, 84, of Fargo, ND died Sunday, November 8, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family. Marella Fischer was born June 4, 1931 at Streeter, ND, the daughter of Edwin and Lydia (Remboldt) Fischer. She graduated from Streeter High School and attended Valley City State Teachers College. She taught in rural schools for two years. In 1951, she moved to Bismarck, ND and was employed at Provident Life Insurance Co. On September 11, 1955 she married Richard Haugen. After his discharge from the Air Force, they moved to Fargo, ND where she was employed at Hoberg Insurance Co., Grants Department Store and Fargo Public Schools until her retirement in 1993. She is survived by three sons, Loehle Haugen, Fargo, ND, Todd (Patti) Haugen, Larimore, ND and Troy (DeAnna) Haugen, Rochester, MN, 3 granddaughters, Megan Haugen, Charlette Haugen and Kira Haugen, brother, Jerroll (Arlene) Fischer, Alexandria, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Richard Haugen in 2003. Prayer Service: 7:00 P.M. Friday, November 13, 2015 at Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo with visitation starting at 6:00 P.M. Memorial Service: 9:30 A.M. Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo. Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo.
