Margaret "Maggie" Burgess

Margaret “Maggie” Burgess, 62, Fargo passed away Monday, January 11, 2016 at Elim Care and Rehab Center, Fargo.
Margaret was born September 11, 1953. Margaret was the eldest daughter of Fred and Dorothy (Kankelfitz) Dotting. Margaret graduated in 1972 from Pillsbury High School. She met the love of her life, Dennis Burgess and they were united in marriage on October 23, 1982 in West Fargo. They lived in West Fargo until Dennis passed away September 9, 2010.
Margaret worked in various nursing homes in Fargo and Moorhead. She was very generous in taking in stray animals and caring for them all. Margaret and Dennis gave lots of love to Natasha, Paige and Chris Smykowski.
Margaret is survived by her sister, Jean Hanson, Williston, ND; brothers, David Dotting, West Fargo, ND, Dale (Jean) Dotting, Springfield, MO; children, Natasha (Jason) Hagen, Fargo, ND, Chris Smykowski, Fargo, ND, Paige Smykowski, Fargo, ND.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis; parents and grand-parents.
Funeral Mass: 11:00 A.M. Thursday, January 14, 2016 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Fargo.
Burial: Holy Cross Cemetery North, Fargo.

So sorry to hear of Margaret’s passing. We were very close when we were children. She lived with my family for several years.
