M. Margaret Sailer, 72, Moorhead passed away Saturday, November 23, 2013 at the Palliative Care Unit of Sanford Health, Fargo surrounded by her family.

Margaret was born July 8, 1941 in Hallock, MN to Ell and Agnes (Franks) Jamieson. She graduated from Shanley High School in 1959. She worked at the Fargo Theatre during High School before moving to Minneapolis upon graduating, where she worked at Northwest National Bank and also the Hotel Leamington. She met her husband to be, Robert Sailer while she was working at the Fargo Theatre and they married on July 20, 1963 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Fargo.

In the spring of 1965, they moved to Tucson, AZ where she worked for Mountain Bell Telephone Company. They moved back to Moorhead in 1975. In 1980, she started in the Clay County Health Department, working as a Medical Secretary. She worked various jobs before landing a job with the IRS in 1990, working as a clerk and a secretary for a territory manager. She retired from the IRS in 2002.

She enjoyed watching both the Minnesota Twins and the Vikings. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, making it to all of their activities when she could. She was a hardworking mom, who always put her family first.

She is survived by her children; Sandra Ferris, Moorhead, MN, Karen (Eric) Kessler, Fargo, Scott (Darcelle) Sailer, Fargo, grandchildren; Michael and Brandon Ferris, Lauren Kessler, Reile and Gwenyth Sailer, sisters; Kathleen Enghauser, Plymouth, MN, Judy Jamieson, Fargo, ND, brother; Robert (Terri) Jamieson, Fargo, ND, sister-in-law; Marilyn Jamieson, West Fargo, ND and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, William “Skipper” Jamieson and James Jamieson.

    I am sorry to hear of Margaret’s passing. I worked with her at IRS. She was fun to work with and even more fun to visit with. So sorry for your loss.
