Margarethe Steiner

Margarethe ?Grete? Steiner, 97, Fargo, died Wednesday, June 25, 2003, in ManorCare Nursing Home, Fargo. Margarethe (Grete) Gr?hut Steiner was born on May 24, 1906, in Vienna, Austria. She grew up in Vienna and attended school there, graduating from business college for women. Grete started a millinery studio in her home in Vienna. Margarethe married Felix Steiner in Vienna on March 22, 1939. She and her husband found their way to England in June of 1939 where they stayed until coming to the United States in February of 1940. They came to Fargo in 1940 and Grete worked out of her home as a milliner until retiring in the 1970's. Her husband preceded her in death in 1974.
