Margrette Ann Somdahl Dahle, age 94, of Fargo, passed away on October 15, 2010 at the Sanford Palliative Care unit in Fargo. She was born February 11, 1916 in Ulen, MN to Narve and Elida Somdahl. She was preceded in death by her husband Ottis B. Dahle in July 1999, two sisters, Norma Somdahl and Alice Groth (Art) and six brothers, Edwin Somdahl (Ann), Harvey Somdahl (Iva), Roy Somdahl (Alice), Theodore Somdahl, Russell Somdahl (Ruth) , and Halvor Somdahl.

For many years Margrette sold life insurance for Royal Neighbors of America and was a cook for the Sigma Chi Fraternity. One of her first jobs was with Armours in West Fargo where she met her husband to be, Ottis B. Dahle. They were married August 2, 1941 and lived in three different houses on 10th Street North in Fargo. Most recently Margrette lived at Rosewood on Broadway.

Margrette grew up in the Ulen and Richwood MN area. She was the great grand daughter of Ole Ulen, founder of Ulen, MN. Margrette was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and the VFW Auxiliary. She had received many awards for volunteer work, especially at the Veterans Hospital in Fargo. Margrette was a friend to everyone she met. She enjoyed and excelled at creating beautiful flower gardens.

Margrette is survived by her four sons, Ottis (Sylvia) of Bondurant, IA, Richard (Mary) of Terre Haute, IN, Jonathon of Fargo, ND, and Karl (Geri) of Brush, CO. She was a grandmother of eight, great grandmother of five, and great, great grandmother of two.
