Obituary

Marian A. Holte, 86 joined her Heavenly Father on March 23, 2019 at Eventide Lutheran, Moorhead, MN.

Marian Arlene Holte was born on February 15, 1933, the daughter of Walter and Martha Heald. She spent most of her school years in Morris, MN, graduating in 1951 from Parkers Prairie High School as Salutatorian of her class.

She was married to Philip Holte on October 21, 1951 in Battle Lake, MN. They made their home in Washington DC prior to returning to Minnesota where they owned and operated grocery stores in Vining and later in Parkers Prairie for over 35 years. In 1997 they moved to Fargo to be closer to family.

Marian was a loving wife and devoted mother and grandmother. Her family was her pride and joy. She cherished her time spent with them. She loved caring for her plants and flowers. She also enjoyed reading, knitting and crocheting.

Marian’s loving husband of 60 years preceded her in death in 2012.

She is survived by her daughter Sandy (Kim) Larson and son Dan (Sue) Holte, grandchildren Danielle (Patrick) Schaff, Alyssa (Nick) Wiedenmeyer and Tiffany (Patrick) Myklebust and her great grandchildren, Aaliyah Holte, Wyatt Wiedenmeyer, Miles and Walter Schaff and Liam Myklebust.

It is with heartfelt thanks and appreciation that the family acknowledges Eventide Lutheran Home and Hospice of the Red River Valley for the exceptional Care she received.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Elim Lutheran Church, Fargo, North Dakota. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the Service.

It was an honor to be able to visit with, then in recent times to sit quietly with, Ms. Marion the past five years. Her faith remained so strong. Her smile was bright even when she didn’t know who I was. May she rest in peace. May you know the memories shared as a treasure.

Our deepest sympathy to Sandy and Dan in the loss of their beautiful mother Marian. We knew her as a beautiful, gentle womam who had a handful of witty chimes! She will be missed deeply. May God give the family grace, peace, and wonderful memories of a very lovely woman!
