Marilyn Hein, age 59, formerly of Canton, TX, passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 23, 2008 at Elim Care Center, Fargo, ND. Marilyn was a strong competitor to her brain tumor that eventually led to her passing. In life she was the epitome of joy and friendliness. She loved to visit with anyone that visited with her. Making friends was her strength. Simply put, she loved people, especially her son, daughter, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, and parents. Marilyn was born December 26, 1948 to Nils and Elaine Buringrud. She attended schools in Gardner and Grandin, graduating in 1967. She attended Dakota Business College, Fargo. She worked at St. Luke?s Hospital for 1 ? years before moving to Texas where she worked at Texas Gas Company for 2 years. On March 17, 1973 she married Arthur ?Butch? Hein. She was also employed at Gold Star Assisted Living Center, the Genesis Center for Battered Women and Children, was a cook in Canton Elementary School in Canton, TX and owned Hein?s Cleaning Service in Llano, TX. She is survived by her children, Michael Hein (Casondra) Lewisville, TX, Shelly Terry (Chris) Opelike, AL; grandchildren, Blake Hein, Ashlee and Jessica Terry; father, Nils Buringrud, Fargo; sisters, Wanda Hoffmann, Lisbon, ND, Marcia Buringrud, Fargo; brothers, Terry (Mary) Tower City, ND, Michael (Eileen) Gardner, ND, and Jon, West Fargo. She was preceded in death by her mother, Elaine. Funeral Service: 10:00 am on Monday, April 28, 2008 at Nora Lutheran Church, east of Gardner, ND on County Road 26, with Visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
