Marilyn Jean Splitt, 67, Goodrich, ND passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at St. Alexius Hospital in Bismarck, ND. She was born on January 31, 1949 to Emmett and Eline (Thompson) Lott in Dickinson, ND. She grew up in Fargo. In 1967, Marilyn was united in marriage to James Splitt. The couple made their home in West Fargo where they raised their three children. In 1984, she began working for Target where she was employed until 1992 when she moved to Oregon. Marilyn lived in Cottage Grove, OR until 2001 when she returned to North Dakota. Scrapbooking and gardening were some of her favorite hobbies. Marilyn also loved taking caring of her cats: Riley, Max and Moe. The lights of her life were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and she cherished the time she spent with them. Marilyn is survived by her sons, Gerald and Edon Splitt; brother, Thomas Lott; grandchildren, Brandi and Lonny Wilkie; Tyler and Autumn Gebeke; and Brandon, Brittney, and Brooklynn Splitt; and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and son, Lonny.

  2. Marilyn, you made the best out of everything life dealt you right up in till the end. Your beautiful smile and infectious laugh Will always be remembered and missed. Had many good times and shared lots of memories. You loved your children and grandchildren with all your heart, never held grudges and saw the good in everyone, well maybe except for a couple people. Lol. I will cherish the memories till we meet again in that place of no pain and only peace and happiness. You have joined many family and friends who you have missed dearly.
