Marilyn lived most of her life in the Fargo Moorhead area. She is a graduate of Shanley High School and NDSU with a Bachelors degree in nursing. Marilyn used her gift of selfless compassion as an oncology nurse for many years. During this time, she witnessed for Christ and gave comfort to those in her care.
Marilyn?s love for children and animals has always played a prominent role in her life. Her three children were everything to her, and she was notorious for rescuing a wide assortment of cats, dogs, rabbits, etc. over the years.
Marilyn?s zest for life was apparent on the dance floor. At any gathering she could be seen doing the Jitter Bug or the Twist. Later in life she enjoyed trips to Barnesville and Detroit Lakes, Minnesota with her husband Terry where they would ?party? into the wee hours enjoying music and each other?s company. Marilyn?s smile would always light up the room. She radiated an unconditional love for Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church. Marilyn was a true ?people person? and would never miss an opportunity to stop and ?smell the roses.? Although Marilyn suffered with illness for much of her life, she never succumbed to self pity or negativity. Instead she was a shining example of steadfast faith in God.
