Marjorie left this world on October 14, 2016 after living a long and full life.
She was born May 28, 1924 in Carrington, North Dakota to her parents Walter F. Caverly and Sarah L. Caverly. Maggie graduated from Carrington High School. She won a state contest in writing which led to speaking at veteran’s memorial services. After graduating from high school she left Carrington and moved to Washington D.C. where she worked at the Pentagon and the Washington D.C. finance office. After hours, she toured with the U.S.O. helping entertain troops in and around Washington D.C. during WWII.
Maggie returned to Carrington, where she became the Deputy Registrar of Deeds at the county courthouse. She later married the love of her life Francis (Frank) Bourdon on October 3, 1948. They would eventually move to Fargo where they raised three children. Some of her happiest memories were at Faith United Methodist Church in north Fargo, where she and her husband Frank, led the youth group and were active in the church choir.
Maggie is survived by her three children Tim Bourdon (Kathy) of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota; Mark Bourdon (Pam) of West Fargo, North Dakota; and Michelle McDonald (Hugh T.) of Little Rock, Arkansas; thirteen grand-children, Riley Bourdon, Nicholas (Cassie) Bourdon, Louie (Leslie) Bourdon, Lindsey (Bobby) Pfeiffenberger, Ashley (Hartley) Humphreys, Hugh R. McDonald, Meghan (Dillon) Hohertz and Samantha McDonald; four great grand-children Dominick Bourdon, Davis and Marly Bourdon and Jackson Pfeiffengerger; her sister Dorothy (Everett) Brust of Fargo North Dakota, and many beloved nieces and nephews. Maggie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Frank, brother Leonard (Woody) Caverly, sisters Patricia Schmidt, Marilyn Caverly and Kathleen Caverly.
