Martha K. (Stamaris) Knoll, 91, Fargo, ND, went home to the Lord on Monday, June 13th, 2016. Martha was born March 16, 1925 to James and Katherine Stamaris, and was raised in the Mandan, ND area and attended Mandan High. She was a loving wife and mother whose priority was with those whom she loved. Martha was united in marriage to Anton (Tony) H. Knoll, on June 5th, 1944, in Mandan, ND where they made their home for 28 years and later moved to Fargo, ND where they raised their 5 children. Martha and Tony enjoyed 72 years of blissful marriage. Together, they enjoyed playing cards with many friends and family. Martha enjoyed crocheting, crosswords, and reading books. She loved playing games and was tough to beat with her unfailing Irish luck. Martha will be remembered for her love of family, her colorful character, her ability to befriend anyone and her unfailing zeal for life. She is preceded in death by her son Randall Knoll. Martha is survived by her husband, Anton Knoll, Fargo, ND, daughter Clare Francis, Grand Forks, ND, daughter Jane (Dave) Fick Fargo, ND, son Henry (Brenda) Knoll West Fargo, ND, daughter Lou (Tom) Wetzel Dent, MN, 11 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 5pm-7pm with a prayer service at 7pm on Friday, June 17, 2016 at Boulger Funeral Home, 123 10th St. S, Fargo, ND. Funeral Mass at 10am on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 2711 7th St. E, West Fargo, ND

  2. We are so saddened by her passing. She was such a “sweetie pie!” We loved seeing her, visiting with and spending time with her. We will miss her presence at gatherings but will forever cherish the memories and our time spent with her. She was a special lady!

  4. Martha brought joy to my time when working at Meritcare. She was always smiling, warm and friendly. Her friendly approach I am sure was very helpful to those calling in for assistance to the hospital and clinic. Am sorry to here of her passing.

  7. Martha was such a special woman. Her and Tony touched my life for several years, as well as my children’s lives. I still miss the card playing! Everytime they came to visit the Everett/Betty lake home, they always brought special treats for my children and the other grandchildren. So thoughtful! Prayers to your family!

  9. I am very saddened by Martha’s passing. Ever since being their paperboy in Mandan, I have many wonderful memories of times spent with Martha and Tony. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and remembering Martha.

  10. I met Martha many years ago when I was dating Henry’s friend, Scott. She was always so friendly and kind. Years later I saw her at the Southpointe Clinic and ended up doing her mammogram several years in a row. Of course she remembered me and we always had a nice visit. Only just last month I ran into her and Henry. Such a pleasure to see them both! My thoughts are with the entire family during this sad time.
