Mary Ertelt passed peacefully, surrounded by her family on June 6th, 2021. Mary was born May 1st, 1956 to Otto & Magdalena (Sept) Reule in Carrington, ND. She grew up in Cathay, ND and moved to the FM area in 1976. Mary worked in Hospitality for 45 years, including the last 13 years with The Courtyard by Marriott in Moorhead, MN. Mary loved helping people! She would give the shirt off her back to help anyone who needed it. She adored classic country music, spending time with her family, and cooking for her loved ones. She also loved attending Dilworth’s Loco Daze in the summertime. Left behind is her loving husband Brian and her children Ronald (Brenda Witt) Jerome of West Fargo, Shawna Jerome of Dilworth, Jonny (Tanya) Pollock of Moorhead, Jackie (Lyle) Pollock of Dilworth, Courtney (Donovan) Holmen of Fargo, and Kaysha (Dee) Ertelt of Dilworth. She is also survived by her grandchildren Kayla (Brandon), Justin (Nicole), Dallas (Angel), Brandon, Brody, Skylor (Chantelle), Matthew, Bailey, Ethan, Jacob, Lakija, Tatyana, Chad, Chloe, and Coltin; her great-grandchildren Klyuh, Hunter, and Ava; as well as 11 siblings and many nieces & nephews, not to mention many others who she took under her loving wing. She is proceeded in death by her parents, Brian’s parents, 2 sisters in laws, 3 sisters, 3 brothers, her granddaughter Allyson, great grandson Carter, and beloved best friend Annie. Her Memorial Service will be held at 11am on Friday June 11th, 2021 at Bethel Evangelical Free Church in Fargo. Visitation with family will begin at 10am. Family and friends are welcome to come to Ronald’s house in West Fargo on Thursday June 10th at 4pm to celebrate Mary’s life. Burial will be at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Fingal, ND.

  6. Im so sadden to hear this news that a great friend/coworker is no longer with us… She was sooo supportive for her coworkers to gain more success and always fought for equality! She was such a strong women! I loved her life experiences she shared with me and her banana bread was the best! She always shared what she could give… May you rest now friend till we see you again…

You were such an amazing woman you were not just my coworker when we worked at the Marriott but you were also a really good friend you were like a second mother to me you always knew what to say to me on my bad days. I found myself always asking for advice and you gave it to me. We shared alot of memories Mary. I’m going to miss you lady but I know I’ll see you again. And my condolences to the family.
