Maryalyce J. Sanger, 85, Fargo passed away Friday, June 11 in MeritCare Hospital, Fargo.

Maryalyce was born June 30, 1924 to Chester Otto Smith and Bridget (Hennebry) Smith in Fargo, ND. She grew up and attended Fargo Central graduating in 1942. After graduation, she went to work for General Motors before marrying Paul Sanger on March 14, 1947 in Trinity Lutheran church in Moorhead. Their marriage was blessed by St. Anthony's of Padua Catholic Church shortly thereafter. Paul passed away on January 25, 1982.

Maryalyce among many things, loved to crochet, knit, roller-skate and spend time at the lake. One of her favorite things was to spend time with her beloved grandchildren.

Maryalyce is survived by her daughter, Michele, Fargo ND, son's, Steve (Shirley), Moorhead MN, and Tim (Mary), Grand Forks ND; six grandchildren, Chris, Fargo ND, Aaron (Tracy), Fargo ND, Jamie (Steve) Olson, Grand Forks ND, Ryan, Moorhead MN, Jared, Grand Forks ND, and Jordan, Grand Forks ND; 2 great-grandchildren, Adam and Noah, and one special niece Judy (Paul) Goeman-Dickenson, Phillippi WV.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, and one brother.

    She was truly a humble and great servant to the Lord and her family. She raised a friend of mine called Tim who is one very good man and I know Paul and Maryalyce had a lot to do with that. I thank her for giving the world her wisdom, humor, zest for life and her wonderful son Tim
