Matthew Gisvold

Matthew W. Gisvold Matt Gisvold went to join his son, Brady Gisvold and parents, Marvin and Joyce Gisvold at the Lords Table on Sunday, January 13, 2008. Matthew Wayne Gisvold was born on April 6, 1960 to Marvin and Joyce (Stordahl) Gisvold. He was raised on a farm near Hope, ND where he attended Hope School. After graduating, he went to work for the Galesburg, ND Elevator and during that same time became a member of the ND National Guard as a Military Police Officer from1978 to 1983. In 1989, he began working in the construction field and resided in the Nebraska area until moving to Tolna, ND in early 2007 where he enjoyed hunting, fishing and helping area farmers. Matt will be remembered and missed by sisters; Joelle (Roger) Maier, Barnesville, MN; Teresa Gisvold, St. Cloud, FL; brothers, Mark (Shari) Gisvold, Warwick, ND; Paul Gisvold, Tolna, ND; John (Deann) Gisvold, Fargo, ND ; nieces, Jessica Simons, Duluth, MN; Morgan and Ava Gisvold, Fargo, ND; Whitney Gisvold, Warwick, ND; nephews, Josh Moen, Fargo, ND; Luke and Eric Gisvold, Galesburg, ND; Hudson Gisvold, Fargo, ND; great-nephew, Chase Moen, Fargo, ND; and step-granddaughter, McKenna Smith, Greenwood, NE. He was preceded in death by parents, Marvin and Joyce Gisvold; son, Brady Gisvold; grandparents, John K. and Effie Stordahl and Palmer and Myrtle Gisvold. CELEBRATION OF LIFE: 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 15, 2008 in Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo. INTERMENT: 11:00 am Wednesday at Galesburg Cemetery, Galesburg, North Dakota.
