Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Mike and my Dad (Kenny Kautzman) were best friends. I am grateful & honored to have had the many opportunities to spend time with Mike…. on my Dad’s deck, at the Ground Round, the fun gatherings with their Railroad buds, hearing stories about life, hearing about their memories as they traveled through the depths of their own cancer. My Dad was always more worried about his dear friend Mike than himself., making sure he was ok. I know that my Dad was there to meet Mike with open arms. May they continue to enjoy doing the things they loved to do: hunting, listening to Johnny Cash, watching Westerns together, enjoying a burger, talking smart, telling stories and living life at ease. No more pain & suffering for these two genuine, loving heart & souls! Much love to you Mike.. Rest in Peace. Give my Dad a huge hug from us. You have left an imprint on my heart! Jo Kautzman

  2. So sorry for your loss. Mike will be missed. When I think of him I see his smile and hear his laugh. Hugs to you all.

  10. I only had the opportunity to meet Michael one time in person but I heard a lot of great stories about him through Tim and AJ Wodrich. I wish his entire family the very best during this time of loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

  11. Mike and I grew up together in Fingal where we played on endless summer days and were in the same school grade. He was a favorite of my Dad Spitz and he and Linda looked out for our Mother when they lived in Fingal.
My thoughts and prayers are with you at the loss of a truly decent person who was special to many of us.

  12. I met Mike a few years ago at Karoake. He was always one of our biggest supporters and so pleasant to be around. My last visit with him was such a blessing and I will miss his wonderful smile. RIP Mike, you were a great fighter!

  13. Mike, I am better for having known you and privileged to have had you show your enjoyment in model railroads.
    Be in peace.

  14. Mike, a true gentlemen, was a fellow Knights of Columbus. He was very giving and caring to others. He would put his own interests aside and be very willing to help others even as he went through ongoing chemo treatments. Mike was soft spoken but people always listened when he spoke. He had a genuine interest in the well being of others. I enjoyed getting to know Mike and will truly miss him but know that he will be with our Savior eternally…. and will be at peace after his long battle with chemo.
    Sincerely
    Jonathan Aal

  15. Was blessed to know Mike through rhe Knights of Columbus. Mike was very dedicated serving his church, community, and and brother knights..Glad to visit with brother Mike while being a patient in the hospital myself as he was visiting one of his friends. 16. I am so sorry for your loss. I have found the Bible provides comfort during times of tragedy. At 1 Corinthians 15:26 we are promised that very soon ‘death will be brought to nothing. Then, we have the prospect of being reunited with our loved ones right here on this earth (John 5:28,29), but a perfect earth. I truly hope this has brought you comfort and hope. With deepest sympathies, Gracin and family.

  17. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. He will never be gone as long as you hold on to the memories in your heart and share them often with those around you.

  18. So sorry for your loss Linda. Didn’t know Mike personally, but sounds like he was one wonderful man. He left way to early, but God always needs good angels. Our prayers are with you and your family.

  19. Sir Knight Mike Steidl was a great Knight, always giving of his time, talent and treasurer to his Church, Knights of Columbus Council and Cardinal Muench Assembly #788. Mike had a great love for the outdoors, serving others and leading the way in support of many organizations and functions. I have had the honor of knowing Mike the last 5 years and what a great role model to follow. Although Mike at times was very ill he tried to support his fellow Knights and the Fargo Diocese by representing the Knights of Columbus in service to both. Mike just a couple weeks ago in pain supported his fellow Knight that passed away by participating at that Knights funeral services. Sir Knight Michael Stiedl I salute you. Until we meet again my friend. Vivat Jesus.

  20. Mike was a man that never gave up.he was a fighter and will truelly be missed by all his friends .May he rest in peace he is in a better place now my thoughts n prayers are with you at this sad time

  21. I am very sorry for your loss. Although I did not know your loved one personally, I hope knowing that they are in our loving heavenly Father’s memory will bring your family comfort during this difficult time. Very soon now we can look forward to God’s promise at a Revelation 21:4: “… Death will be no more, neither will mourning, nor outcry, nor pain be anymore, the former thing have passed away.”

  22. Sad to hear of Mikes passing. He never gave up his fight against cancer and fortunately lived many more years than the doctors told him. Mike and I used to always go to Kenny Kautzman’s and have a few drinks. Mike usually had a few cigars with him and shared them with me and Kenny. I enjoyed many a good meal at the Ground Round with Mike and Kenny. Mike always had a smile and even when stricken with cancer he wouldn’t let it get him down. He lived life to the fullest and he will be missed by all who knew him. God bless the memory of Mike .

  23. Rest in Peace Mike
It was our great pleasure to have you as part of our family as we became part of yours. .Our thoughts and prayers are with Anna Jo ,Tim and girls ,Lisa and Andy and Rebecca
