Mildred Keidel
January 1, 1970 ~ March 15, 2007
Mildred passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2007, at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo at the age of 95.
Mildred was born on March 22, 1911, the daughter of Frank and Pauline (Dvorak) Ondracek, in Cedar Bluffs, NE. She moved with her family to a farm near Georgetown, MN in 1918, and moved to a farm near Gardner, ND in 1932. Mildred attended school in the Georgetown area. After her schooling she helped on the family farm and also worked with her sister at Northstar Grocery in Fargo. Mildred was united in marriage to James Keidel on November 3, 1949 in Fargo. Following their marriage they made their home in Fargo. The couple purchased the store in 1949 and worked and lived there for many years. James passed away in 1976. Mildred continued at the store until it closed in 2001. She moved to Waterford at Harwood Groves in 2005.
During her years at the grocery store Mildred made many very dear friends. Her kind ways and words were appreciated by everyone who shopped at the store. She became especially close to many NDSU students over the years and thought of them as her kids. Mildred was also a longtime member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fargo. The most important things in life were her family and her faith.
Mildred is survived by her nephew, Michael (Donna) Ondracek of Fargo; and grand nephews, Steve (Karolee) Ondracek, Kevin Ondracek, and Lyle (Kay) Ostby; and one grand niece, Linda (Rob) Hofstetter. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brothers, Albert, Ernest, Frank, and Rudolph; and her sisters, Marie Koncitik and Albina Ostby.
VISITATION: 1-2 PM Monday, March 19, 2007 at Church of the Holy Spirit in Fargo
FUNERAL MASS: 2 PM Monday at Church of the Holy Spirit in Fargo
BURIAL: Holy Cross North Cemetery in Fargo

I do fondly remember my dear aunt babe. We came to visit her every time we came to Fargo to see our grandmother. I will always remember her kindness and my uncles for the short time I knew him. Now so many many years later I know they were a big part of our lives.
