Molly Rademacher died Wednesday, October 21, 2015 in Kansas City, MO.
Amolia (Molly) Rademacher was born Oct. 17, 1919 to David and Anna Miller Frederick in rural Anamoose, ND. She received her education through Anamoose Public Schools. Molly moved to Monroe, WA at the beginning of WWII where she was employed at Valley General Hospital for six years. After returning to North Dakota, she married Edmund A. Rademacher on Feb. 18, 1947 in Anamoose. The couple farmed southwest of Anamoose where they also raised their four daughters. They moved into Anamoose in 1972. They later made their home in Fargo, ND and Blair, NE to be closer to their children. After Ed’s death in 2007, Molly made her home with Marilyn and Ralph Volk in Liberty, MO.
Molly was a traditional farm wife and mother. She helped with the chores, cooked, baked and canned, but she always made time to check her children’s homework and read to them. She was a voracious reader, a fabulous cook, grew beautiful flowers and a large garden, loved to play cards, work crossword puzzles and listen to music. Most of all, Molly was quick witted with a great sense of humor. She was kind and thoughtful. Friends and family always received a hand written letter and card on special occasions. Mother and “Oma” will be greatly missed. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart.
Survivors include four daughters: Karen (Cameron) Carlson, Lincoln, NE; Virginia (Wayne) Heebsh, McKinney, TX; Connie (Brendon) Klein, Mesa, AZ; Marilyn (Ralph) Volk, Liberty, MO. Grandchildren: Brad and Tanya Heebsh, Dallas, TX; Joshua (Maria) Mehlhaff, Mesa, AZ; Eric (Marissa) Volk, St. Louis Park, MN; Kaylyn (Mark) Soni, Maryland; Curtis Carlson, Waterford, MI; Great grandchildren: Joshua, Zachary and Nathan Mehlhaff, Lydia Carlson and Asa Volk. Nieces and nephews also survive her.
Preceded in death by husband, Ed; parents and nine brothers and sisters.
