  1. Kathleen, Lesly, and family, my sincere sympathy on the loss of your dear Morris. Kathleen, I smiled everytime I called your name at the clinic and Morris would wave at me with a twinkle in his eye! Remember all the good times, he is surrounding you all with love!

  2. Hello Melanders,
I stumbled across Morris’s obit as I was looking through the obits in the paper. I was saddened to hear of Morris’s passing. We have met only a few times, our encounters were always through Norris and Marlene. I am Linnae Enge, Silas and Marjorie Hanson’s daughter from Thief River Falls. We visited with Morris at Norris’s funeral.
Our son lives in Casselton and works in Moorhead. Therefore our trips to Casselton always mean a drive through Hunter, ND. My Mom is living in a memory care facility in Victoria, MN. She doesn’t remember that both Marlene and Norris have passed, but when I tell her we went to go see Casey in Casselton, she always mentions that Casselton is close to Hunter and that is where the Melanders are from.

Norris and Marlene and family have always been very special to me. Shawn and I were very close friends. Norris and Marlene, Shawn, Murray and Mark, Julie not yet born, stayed with us during one of their moves from AZ to TRF.
I miss them dearly. I keep in touch with Murray, Mark and Julie and families.

Please greet your family and pass on our sincere sympathy.
    May Morris’s memory be blessed.

    Mark and Linnae Enge

  5. So sorry to read this. Morris will be missed. Trips to the lake just won’t be the same. I always enjoyed my chats with Morris

  6. Kathleen and family, when I think of Morris, I think of a man who always had a smile on his face and wink in his eye. I remember he always called our daughter, Sandra “my girl” ever since she was very young. My sincere sympathy to you and your family. The Lord has taken him home. No more pain. He will be remembered in our stories, our memories and in our pictures. Thinking of your family at this time.

  7. Sending our love and condolences. We are out of state and unable to attend the funeral. God bless and comfort you at this time. Brian and Sue

  8. Deepest sympathies to all of the Melander family. Morris was such a sweetheart to me and always loves to give me a hard time. ❤️

  9. Hugs and love to each of you as we remember Morris as the best neighbor and friend that we could ever have, both in Hunter and at the lake. His work here on earth is done but he will continue to watch over his family and friends from his heavenly home. We will miss him.

  10. Another angel to watch over us. I loved his smile, his laugh, I loved the real person that he was. Morris will be missed. I am so glad he was part of my life. My life is so much richer because of him.

  11. Our sympathy to Kathleen and family. We always loved our visits! He was such a kind gentle man. He will be missed by all. Hugs to Kathleen and family.

  12. My sympathy to the Melander family on the loss of Morris. I remember Morris and the whole family as “salt of the earth” people and I am a better person for having known you. May God bless you all.
