Pamela Ellenson
March 27, 1954 ~ January 26, 2019
Pamela Jean Ellenson of Page, ND passed away on January 26, 2019 at the age of 64, under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.
Pam was born to parents Art and Maxine (Vance) Olson on March 27, 1954 in Lisbon, ND. She attended school in Lisbon and graduated from high school there. Pam attended North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, where she graduated with a nursing degree.
Pam was married to Gordy Ellenson on October 13, 1973 in Lisbon. They started their lives together in Lisbon, where they lived for 7 years. They then moved to Grace City, where they raised their children for 14 years. Her life ended in Page, where they have lived for the past 14 years.
She was a wonderful nurse and worked at various nursing homes where they were living; specifically, she worked at Golden Acres in Carrington, Parkside Lutheran Home in Lisbon and Eventide in Moorhead, MN. She loved listening to books in her car while commuting to and from work. She loved to cook and is famous in her family for her potato dumplings and potato salad.
Pam will be greatly missed by all who knew her and be remembered for her love of family, sense of humor and compassion for all those she served.
Pam was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Arthur and Maxine Olson and Virginia Saathoff. She is survived by her husband; Gordy of Page, three children; Justin (Sarah), Jerrod (Michelle), Jackie (Ryan) Lunneborg all of Fargo; a sister, Brenda (Keith) Dick of Lisbon; seven grandchildren and numerous nieces/nephews.

Deepest sympathy. I worked with Pam at Parkisde Nursing Home in Lisbon. Wonderful lady and a pleasure to have worked with. She will be greatly missed.

I was shocked to read the passing of Pam! Know you all are in our thoughts & prayers! We worked together at Good Sam in Arthur. Many good years working with Pam! She made going to work bearable! She was always there to lend an ear & always made you feel important! She will be deeply missed!

Jerrod and my son, (Brandon) work together and are good friends.
I just wanted to say that if Pam was anything like her son, Jerrod, Heaven gained a beautiful, caring, fun, helpful Angel. These qualities I do believe were shared with mother and son.

Pam was one of the many nurses that took care of our mother at Eventide in Moorhead, Minnesota. Our mother had dementia. Luckily, Pam was one of the nurses who cared so dearly for her. Pam was a wonderful nurse and person and she always had a smile on her face. We went back, to Eventide even after our mother passed at Thanksgiving time in 2008 and brought Christmas cookies and candy. So sorry for your loss, Pam will be missed. The family of Mary Flewell.
Gordy & family, I am a distant cousin of Pam’s on the Vance side. My grandmother and Pam’s grandpa Alfred we’re sister and brother. My siblings and I would visit/play with Virginia, Brenda and Pam when my family (rural Kathryn) would visit Alfred & Emma in their tiny house in Lisbon. I lost track of Pam after we grew up. I am saddened that she passed at such a young age and extend sincere sympathy to all. May she Rest In Peace. Donna (Helland) Hentges

I was crushed to see Pam’s obituary! My best friend and partner in crime throughout high school! Brenda, you know I lived at your house as much as mine! I just told someone yesterday how Art used to say “why don’t you have a party and invite your skirt down”? When I read about the potato dumplings I really teared up. Man we loved them and always made them. Just as good the next day fried up in butter! Gordy, we sure had a lot of fun times..you, Pam, Jeff, me. Julie. And you always took me ad the third wheel! So many stories but some will remain between Pam and me! Wish I had known she was so sick ..would have loved to say goodbye. But I have faith she knows and we will always be together in my heart. I pray for you and your family, try to focus on your happy times. She was the sister I never had

I was a high school student at Carrington High School when I began working as an aide with Pam at Golden Acres. Her nursing skill, kindness, and compassion inspired me to pursue a degree in nursing myself. Her quirky sense of humor made everyone smile, and made work joyful. So glad to have known her, as she influenced the direction of my adult life, for which I am grateful. She was a special person.
