Pamela Sabby

Pamela Ann Sabby, age 52, Fargo, ND died Monday, May 18, 2009 at her home in Fargo. Pam was born March 11, 1957 to Roland and Marilyn (Johnson) Melaas in Fergus Falls, MN. She was baptized and confirmed at Rock Prairie Lutheran Church in rural Grant County. Pam graduated from Elbow Lake Wendell High School in 1975. On March 15, 1975 Pam married Larry D. Sabby at Rock Prairie Lutheran Church. They made their home outside of Nome, ND with their five children. She worked for many years at Hillcrest Manor in Enderlin and Parkside Lutheran Home in Lisbon. She received her nursing degree from NDSCS. Larry and Pam moved to Fargo in 2004. She worked for Hospice of Red River Valley for the past several years. Pam practiced complementary and alternative therapies and was working to introduce them into Hospice. Pam was a woman who touched the heart of many people. She was well loved for her kindness, humor and positive outlook on life. Pam enjoyed life to its fullest. She loved spending time in her garden, traveling and spending time by the ocean. Pam also enjoyed drinking a glass of wine with friends and family and spending time with her family. Pam was preceded in death by her grandparents, aunt and father-in-law. Pam is survived by her husband Larry; son Michael Sabby and daughters Lisa (Dennis) Behl, Julie (Jeremy) Shook, Heidi Sabby and Amanda (Daran) Jacobson; grandchildren Devin, Carson and Braiden Behl, Levi Sabby, Mataya Wells, Kolby and Emma Jacobson, parents Roland and Marilyn Melaas, sisters Barb Melaas and Kathy Duvall, brother Steve (Christine) Melaas, mother-in-law Hazel Sabby, brother-in-law Terry and many nieces and nephews and aunts and uncles. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm at Olivet Lutheran Church in Fargo, ND. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Boulger Funeral Home in Fargo.
