Patricia (Pat) Westerholm, 66, of Fargo, ND, returned to the strong embrace of her beloved Tom on his birthday, Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at the McKenzie County Medical Center in Watford City, ND. What a joyful reunion! Pat was born on Christmas Day, December 25, 1951 to Jackson and DeLaura Dodds in New Rockford, North Dakota. She attended grade school in Williston and finished High School in Billings, MT in 1969. She loved sewing, and most of her school clothes were made by her. Pat continued her education at NDU with a degree in Horticulture. In the spring of 1973, Pat would meet the love of her life, Tom. After a five-year courtship the two were united in marriage in 1978, they were blessed with two beautiful boys; Tom and James. Pat worked as a Manager of a local greenhouse and then for Blue Cross/Blue Shield as an Underwriter. One of Pat’s most treasured times was traveling with her husband, Tom. After his passing, she would enjoy her time gardening and remembering the good moments with Tom. Along to keep her company was her faithful dog, Karma; whom she adored. She is preceded in death by her beloved Tom (Fargo); father, Jackson (Watford City); brother, Steve (Watford City) and brother-in-law, Bill (Fargo). Pat is survived by her sons, Tom and James Westerholm; mother, DeLaura Dodds; brothers, Jeffrey (Laura) Dodds, Mike (Tammie) Dodds and Tom Dodds; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

  1. Tommy and Jamie. So sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. We were neighbors of your parents at the lake. Enjoyed both of them and you boys as you were growing up. May God give you strength and comfort at this difficult time. Marlene Pieske, Jamestown

  2. I always enjoyed visiting with Pat before her retirement from BCBS-ND- she will be missed by all who knew her.

  3. So very sorry for your loss. I enjoyed working with Pat at BCBS – years ago. She was great to work with. Take care.

  4. Saddened to see of Pat’s passing. She was a “bright spot” in my day while employed with Blue Cross Blue Shield, I will not forget her kindness.

  5. I just learned of Pat’s passing today. I’m so sorry for the family’s loss. She was a wonderful woman and I enjoyed many great times with her. We played volleyball and bowled together on teams for BCBSND as well as working together for 25 years. Blessed be the memory of Pat.
