Paul McLaughlin

Paul Thomas McLaughlin, age 58, died on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at Innovis Health, Fargo, ND. Paul was born on November 9, 1949 in Grand Forks, ND to O. R. and Mary McLaughlin. He graduated from Shanley High School in 1967. He then attended NDSU, graduating in 1971 with a BS degree in Business Economics. He was a member of the ROTC. He then served in the US Army as a First Lieutenant from July 20, 1971 to July 17, 1973. He continued his military service by serving in the Minnesota and Montana Army National Guard. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus downtown. On May 11, 1974 he was joined in marriage to Sharon K. Dockter in Fargo. Paul worked as an insurance claims adjuster for many years. The last few years he worked for Arbitrations Forms, Inc. and Midwest Technical Inspections. Paul is survived by his wife, Sharon; children, Sean, Andrea and Elizabeth; grandchildren, Haley and Rylan. Also Paul leaves behind his faithful feline and canine companions. Paul was preceded in death by his parents. Our gratitude to the staff at the VA Medical Center, MeritCare Kidney Dialysis Center and Innovis Health for all their compassion throughout Paul?s illness. And a special thank you to the Fargo North Girls Hockey Team, coaches and parents for making the last two years so wonderful. Memorials are preferred to O.R.
