Pearl Jahnke

The Funeral Service for Pearl Jahnke will be held 1 PM Wednesday, September 3, 2003, at St. John Lutheran Church in Hillsboro, North Dakota. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5 - 8 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM in Wildeman Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Visitation will also be one hour prior to the funeral in the church on Wednesday. Burial will be held in Immanuel Cemetery, rural Hillsboro. Pearl died on August 29, 2003, at the Lutheran Care Center in Little Falls, Minnesota, at the age of 95. Pearl Ness was born on October 4, 1907, near Cummings, North Dakota, the daughter of Martin and Valtina Ness. She grew up in this area, was baptized and confirmed at Salem Lutheran Church in Nielsville, Minnesota. Pearl was united in marriage to Herbert Jahnke of Hillsboro on October 4, 1938, near Cummings, North Dakota. They farmed near Hillsboro until 1969. They moved to Hillsboro in 1971. Pearl is survived by her daughters, Marilyn and husband Henry Boeddeker of Little Falls, Minnesota; and Diane and husband Paul Clements of Glendale, Arizona; five grandchildren and three great grand children. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Robert, and four brothers. (Wildeman Funeral Home, Hillsboro)
