Phyllis (Overboe) Linscheid

October 10, 1946 - March 24, 2017


Phyllis Christine Overboe was born on October 10, 1946 in Fargo, ND to Peder and Agnes (Sorbel) Overboe. She was raised on a farm by Kindred, ND and went to Barrie #2 country school until the seventh grade. Phyllis graduated from Kindred High School in 1964 and married Erick Lee Jr. She worked at the Fargo Clinic and for Dr. Ugland and Dakota Clinic. She married Jim Linscheid on June 7, 1986 in Enderlin, ND. In 1989 Phyllis and Jim moved to Chillicothe, OH where Jim started working for the Veterans Administration. In 1994 Phyllis and Jim were transferred to Anchorage, AK. Phyllis enjoyed the cool summers and the beauty of Alaska. Phyllis was employed as a medical assistant at a clinic in Anchorage. They both retired in 2010. In 2013 they returned to North Dakota and moved to West Fargo.
Phyllis enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved baking chocolate cake for her grandson, Matthew. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, watching the Vikings and the Minnesota Twins. Most of all she loved traveling, which she was doing when she passed away.
She is survived by her husband, Jim, daughter, Staci (Veran Kapaun) Lee; grandson, Matthew; her brothers, Tom (Gloria) Overboe, West Fargo, David (Debora) Overboe, Kindred, ND; sister Sheryl (Curt) Ask, Kent, MN; and many nieces and nephews.
